About Agnieszka Hancock

Agnieszka Hancock built her career in estate agency on the Côte d'Azur and now runs Amber Connections, an independent agency based in Biot that works in three languages.

Her career on the Côte d'Azur

Agnieszka Hancock learned her trade on this coast with Blue Square, an estate agency with offices in Antibes and Valbonne. She then worked with its successor, By Blue International Realty, in Mougins. The area those offices served, from the coast at Antibes to the hills of Valbonne and Mougins, is the area she knows best and the one she covers today.

To be completed: number of years Agnieszka has worked in estate agency on the Côte d'Azur, if she wishes to state it

Amber Connections

Agnieszka now works independently as Amber Connections, based in Biot. Working independently lets her present homes with partner agents, as she does today with Azure & Stone Immobilier. It also lets her act for a buyer under a search mandate, looking across the whole market rather than at one agency's stock.

Three languages

Born in Poland and married into a British family, Agnieszka works in English, French and Polish. In practice the brief, the viewings, the negotiation and the documents can each be discussed in your language, while the legal steps take place in French before the notaire. For Polish-speaking buyers she can explain each stage of a French purchase in Polish. For British buyers she can set out where French practice differs from what they know at home, from the binding preliminary contract to the role of the notaire.

How she works

  1. One point of contact from the first call to the keys.
  2. Advice grounded in recorded sales: every price discussion starts from the official DVF records of what homes in the commune sold for. Our price per m² page shows the figures by town.
  3. Discretion for owners who prefer not to advertise, through the off-market register.
  4. Fees set out in advance in our published fee schedule.
  5. Plain explanations of the process, backed by our guides on buying, owning and selling in France.

Professional details

Estate agency in France is regulated by the Loi Hoguet of 2 January 1970. An agent must hold a carte professionnelle issued by the president of a chambre de commerce et d'industrie, which requires proof of professional aptitude, a financial guarantee where client funds are held and professional liability insurance. Anyone can check an agent's card in the national register of property professionals kept by the CCI network. The details for Amber Connections are set out in full in the legal notice.
